National - June 23, 2026: Mitigata, India's first AI-native full-stack cyber resilience platform, today announced the close of a $15 million Series B funding round led by Bessemer Venture Partners, with participation from existing investors Nexus Venture Partners, Titan Capital and WEH Ventures. The round positions Mitigata to scale a category it helped create, and underwrites its ambition to build India's largest sovereign, indigenous AI security infrastructure.

The company plans to deepen investments in talent across AI, R&D, Product, Engineering and Customer Success, doubling the team by bringing together people who relentlessly want to solve the hardest problems in cybersecurity. The Series B capital will further scale Mitigata's Security Operations Center to become India's largest, and accelerate international expansion.

Founded in 2023 by Mohit Anand, Sarthak Dubey, Mayank Morya and Akshit Kaushik, Mitigata was built on the belief that cybersecurity must evolve beyond prevention. As cyber threats become increasingly sophisticated and AI-driven, enterprises need the ability not only to detect attacks, but to withstand, respond to and recover from them. The startup turns cybersecurity from a cost centre into a measurable risk management function.

Built around the principle of Insure. Detect. Defend. Recover., the startup supports organisations through every stage of their cyber resilience journey—helping them assess and transfer risk through cyber insurance, identify threats with AI-powered security operations and cyber risk intelligence, strengthen defences through compliance automation, and recover quickly through digital forensics, incident response, and breach recovery services.

Building India's AI-Native Cyber Resilience Infrastructure

Mitigata has emerged as India's fastest-growing cyber resilience company, recording over 12x year-on-year growth. Today, Mitigata supports more than 800 organisations across sectors including BFSI, healthcare, manufacturing, automotive, technology, retail and e-commerce. Mitigata has triaged over one million security incidents in the last few months through one of India's largest AI-powered Security Operations Centres, demonstrating the scale and operational depth required to deliver continuous cyber resilience.

Unlike traditional cybersecurity vendors, Mitigata directly participates in the financial consequences of cyber risk through its cyber insurance infrastructure. By combining security telemetry, risk intelligence and insurance data, the platform enables organisations to continuously reduce both cyber exposure and financial loss.

"When we started Mitigata, we weren't trying to build another cybersecurity company. We believed enterprises needed a different operating model — one that brings security operations, cyber risk intelligence, response and insurance together on a single AI-native platform. Cybersecurity is entering an AI-first era, and resilience will become one of the defining capabilities of the modern enterprise. As AI becomes increasingly embedded into economies and critical infrastructure, security stops being just an IT problem. It becomes a question of trust, continuity and, increasingly, national security. We believe India has a unique opportunity to build world-class cyber resilience infrastructure from India, for the world. This funding allows us to accelerate that vision."

Mohit AnandCo-founder and CEO, Mitigata

"The accelerating number of AI-driven malicious attacks, combined with a severe shortage of cybersecurity talent, has resulted in a perfect storm for Indian enterprises. Mohit, Sarthak, Mayank and Akshit have built a timely AI-native resilience platform that services enterprises across their cybersecurity journey — from assessing risks to procuring cyber insurance, deploying best-in-class tools and fully managing security outcomes."

Pankaj MitraPartner, Bessemer Venture Partners

"Mitigata is helping define an entirely new category in cybersecurity. By bringing together security operations, cyber risk intelligence, compliance, digital forensics, incident response and cyber insurance within a unified AI-native platform, the company is building the resilience infrastructure modern enterprises increasingly require."

Why This Matters Now

Every ransomware attack that takes down a hospital, every breach that wipes out a startup's funding, and every fraudulent claim is more than a digital incident; it is a financial and operational hit to India's growth story. As AI becomes foundational to the economy and to critical infrastructure, the ability to secure it has moved from an IT concern to a matter of economic and national security. Yet much of the resilience stack Indian enterprises depend on is still assembled from international point tools. Mitigata was built to close that gap with an indigenous, AI-native platform engineered for Indian regulation, Indian risk and Indian scale.

"India is already under attack. From sophisticated spyware as sophisticated as Pegasus to the ransomware that crippled AIIMS and the persistent probing of our power grids, banks and payment systems, the threats facing the country are no longer hypothetical. They are sustained, increasingly AI-driven and often state-grade. A nation cannot outsource the defence of its most critical systems. We are building strategic resilience for India's digital economy by driving cybersecurity innovation from within, so that the platforms protecting our enterprises and institutions are built, run and owned in India."
